Professional Production Company
Professional Production company
A production company can be
described as an organisation which produces, films, plays, television or
radio programmed. Production companies have little 4 second to 20 second
clips which they are known for and which they use to show the viewers or people
watching that they produced the film or show. One or more production companies
will be part of a film and therefore more than one production company clip
could be shown at the start of one film.
Universal Studios Inc. (also
known as Universal Pictures) is an American film studio, owned by
Comcast through its wholly owned subsidiary NBC Universal and is one of Hollywood's "Big
Six" film studios. Its production studios are at 100 Universal City Plaza
Drive in Universal City, California. Distribution and other corporate
offices are in New York City. Universal Studios is a member of the Motion
Picture Association of America (MPAA). Universal was founded in 1912.

Storyboard
Filming:We had certain Gide-lines to follow such as showing a conversation, someone exiting through a door, and someone crossing a corridor. We stuck to our planning sheet while filming and mostly followed the camera angles and shots leading up to the final piece. 
Our first scene was a over the shoulder shot of me (The actor) on my phone:
This next scene is a match on action shot of me getting out of the chair, standing up and walking to the door:
The next scene is a close up of my hand as i am opening the door:
This next shot used is a POV(Point Of View) shot of the character i played jogging down the stairs, looking for the drug dealer:
When filming the meeting we used the 1800 method which included a shot reverse shot of the conversation.
We decided to create an action scene that we did not include in the plan. Mid shot was used to capture the escape and pursuit of actors and then pan to follow them through parkour scene.filming we used a mid shot then high angle to capture the action and low angle of the dealer getting back the drugs illustrating the dealer’s ultimate superiority.
Due to it looking unprofessional and bad, instead of the dealer just punching my character, we instead got Kelechi to hold the camera and move it towards my face quickly to look like i got knocked out.

We put a security camera shot on a frame where I walk out the building and down the stair case. It is well placed as we used a high angle shot so it actually looks like a security camera placement. The way we did this was just to put a filter over the actual shot.
After we did this we then went on to insert the title into our opening sequence, that read "Drug Deal – Double D”. This was quite effective and gave a little twist to normal titles. Title with black background fly’s onto the screen, Frame behind is the actual sequence and opening camera shot.
Finally we had to edit the sound for the rest of the sequence. We conducted this by deleting the background sound for parts of the videos were we wanted to add non-dietetic sounds. We left the dietetic soundtracks in scenes where we needed the conversation/ dialogue to be heard.
Typography Practical
All films and TV programs have a title. This title has to be displayed within the first few minutes of the sequence. These titles are always very different and can be linked into the genre of the cinematic piece. This means we need to make one for our short opening sequence or credits. These are two titles for different films and TV shows.
These titles are very effective and give the viewer insight to the media and sequence they are about to show. I experimented with some pictures and a basic picture editor and came up with a title. I called it insomnia. I called it this because sleep can be made into a big factor when it comes to horror. The typography I used is also effective. I used broken up letters so show horror aspects off the film. The background of the title I used was a blood splatter which clearly links to the horror slasher genre. When making the title I used shapes to spell out the words I wanted. I then layered a background on to it so the title has depth. I then lowered the opacity off the pictures and then put a fade around the edges and this is what it looks like.
If I where to do this again I would use an actual editing software. Something like gimp or photo shop this would make a much more professional looking title. This was good practice for when I do the real thing and this gives me ideas on what I can do better in the future to make the best title possible.
American Horror Story Hotel: This title is an eerie red colour which sets a creepy tone in he title. It also is in san sheriff writing so the endings of the words are cut off. The letters are also in block capitals so make the name stand out. The letters also look like they are made out of neon bars which refers to the Hotel.
Narcos: The title of this urban drama is Narcos. The Letters are block capitals so stand out. The background to the title is off the location it is set which is in Columbia. The letters are also cut off and don't flow so it shows the bold importance of the title.

Deconstruction of opeing creits - Bedlam
Bedlam - Opening Titles
0:02 - The beginning of the opening titles starts with two actors in the film with bold white font that makes it stand out. These people probably play a main role as they appear first. The man is sat on a seat in a dark room with low key lighting. This makes him seem very lonely and creates a creepy, foreboding and eerie atmosphere.
0:06 - This is the second shot featured in the opening credits. two actors names are also seen in the shot. The shot is off a person in a abandoned room which I dirty and has broken furniture in it. This shot looks like its set in a mental home because it contains medical furniture and also she is wearing white.
0:12 - On the 12th seconds of the opening credits this shot is seen. It is off an investigator of a murder. This ties into the genre of the TV show as there has to be a protagonist looking into the psychotic mind of the killer and has to go around finding why he is doing it.
0:19 - This is a birds eye view shot featured in the sequence. It contains the credits for the producer. Also it contains two naked people that have most likely indulged in sexual intercourse. This may show other genres linked into the horror side or may hint to the obsession side of the villain character.
0:25 - This is a shot of a creepy doll up close in a close-up frame. It is used in the opening credits to show the genre of the film as it is a horror. This is an effective prop as it links to children and horror which is quite a creepy aspect for viewers especially if they are parents.
0:28 - This is the last screen shot from the opening titles. It is a screen shot of the programmes title. The title reads Bedlam and is a washy dirty colour. It uses quite dark and dirty colours which could convey the darkness of the program. The title also moves around the scream which could relate to the horror genre its linked to.

Film Production company
This the location a large orchard with a segregating tree line. The mist laid low and cut out any of the houses behind making the location look isolating and quite old fashioned.
This is perfect for my production company as you wont be able to see houses and road in the background as the location is in a valley.
The problem with this location is that there is a lot of sound in the background meaning you could hear some background noise this would mean I have to cancel out the noise in the background in the editing and put something else over the top.
The first filming location I wanted to use was me coming with my camera out of the woods. I would edit in the title on the grass. I realised my editing skills would not be able achieve this so I couldn't manage to do it even if I did have a perfect film. However, this did not happen my t-shirt kept on getting caught on the narrow exit moving my shot to the side before I could even focus on the grass field. I could also see houses in the background meaning it loses it's atmospheric feel.
